If you're a fan of Ferrero Rocher, you're going to love these brownies. They're loaded with extra chocolate, creamy Nutella, and plenty of hazelnuts. Everything you crave in one decadent bite!
Add the butter, both sugars, dark chocolate, and syrup to a saucepan over low heat. Stir until the butter and chocolate have melted, then remove from the heat. The sugar does not need to fully dissolve and may still be visible. Let the mixture cool until it reaches room temperature or is slightly warm.
Meanwhile, beat the eggs and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Add the cooled chocolate mixture and mix on low speed until smooth.
Add the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Mix again on low speed just until combined. Do not overmix.
Fold the chopped hazelnuts and chocolate chips into the batter.
Pour the batter into a parchment-lined 8x8-inch/ 20x20 cm baking pan and spread evenly. Bake the brownies for 25 minutes at 375°F/190 °C (conventional oven).
The top should look set after baking, but the inside may still be slightly soft and fudgy. Let the brownies cool completely before adding the topping.
Make the Nutella topping
Mix the cream cheese and Nutella together until smooth. There is no need to overmix.
Spread the topping over the cooled brownies and decorate with chopped hazelnuts and Ferrero Rocher chocolates.
