Servings: 4 portions

Ingredients

  • 125 ml heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 250 grams mascarpone cheese
  • 250 ml strong brewed coffee cooled
  • About 18 ladyfingers
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting

Equipment

  • Dessert glasses or small jars

Instructions

  • Note: This tiramisu contains no raw eggs, but the ladyfingers themselves do contain eggs.
  • Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool completely. Break the ladyfingers into smaller pieces, I broke each one into three pieces.
  • Whip the heavy cream with the sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • In a separate bowl, stir the milk into the mascarpone until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.
  • Place a layer of ladyfingers in the bottom of each glass or jar and drizzle about 1 tablespoon of coffee over them.
  • Add a layer of the mascarpone mixture. You can spoon it in or pipe it using a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  • Continue layering ladyfingers, coffee, and mascarpone until the glasses are full.
  • Finish with a swirl of mascarpone cream and dust generously with cocoa powder using a fine-mesh sieve.
  • Garnish with a piece of ladyfinger just before serving.
Tips
A standard cup of coffee is about 5 ounces (140 ml). You can brew several shots of espresso until you reach that amount if you prefer a stronger coffee flavor.
