Chocolate M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 100 grams unsalted butter
- 150 grams dark brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 175 grams all-purpose flour
- 25 grams cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 100 grams M&M’s + extra
Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda all at once. Knead or mix into a smooth cookie dough. Finally, add the M&M’s and mix until evenly distributed throughout the chocolate dough.
- Shape the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. To make sure the M&M’s are clearly visible after baking, press a few extra candies on top of each dough ball.
- Bake the M&M chocolate cookies for 10-12 minutes at 340°F/170°C (conventional oven).
- Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
