Servings: 4 tarts

Ingredients

  • 4 slices frozen puff pastry
  • 2 small preferably unripe pears
  • 4 tbsp Biscoff spread
  • 1 egg + milk for brushing the puff pastry
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Allow the puff pastry slices to thaw. Peel the pears and remove the cores.
  • Spread one tablespoon of Biscoff spread on each slice of puff pastry, leaving at least a one-centimeter border.
  • Arrange half of a thinly sliced pear in a fan shape on each slice of puff pastry.
  • Beat an egg with a dash of milk. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the mixture. Sprinkle cinnamon over the pears to taste.
  • Bake the pear tarts for 15 to 20 minutes at 200˚C/400˚F (conventional oven) or until golden brown.
How to store
They are best served immediately when the puff pastry is still crispy. They can be stored in the refrigerator for three to four days. To make the puff pastry crispy again, reheat the tarts in the oven for five minutes first.
