This strawberry peach cobbler never stays on the counter for very long. That's how incredibly delicious this dessert is. With very little effort you can serve a delicious dessert that is also great for breakfast, lunch or as a snack.
Halve the strawberries, cut the peaches into small pieces and stir in the custard powder. Pour into the bottom of a 23 x 16 cm/9 x 6 inch baking dish.
Whisk the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add the egg and vanilla. Whisk until combined. Add the self-raising flour and mix briefly until incorporated.
Pour the mixture over the fruit and smooth down.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°C/390˚F (conventional oven) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Test for doneness with a skewer.
Tips
Serve with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
