Ingredients
10Oreos
Licorice lacesstring licorice
Eyes
M&M’s, royal icing eyes, Wilton candy eyes
Optional: black edible marker or melted dark chocolateto draw pupils
Chocolate spreadmelted chocolate, or icing (to stick the eyes on)
Instructions
Cut the licorice laces into smaller pieces. I cut one strand into 16 pieces.
Take an Oreo and insert the small licorice pieces as legs between the two cookies, four on each side. Are they not staying in place? Use a toothpick to poke small holes first, this will help them stay put.
Attach the eyes of your choice onto the Oreo. I used chocolate spread, but melted chocolate or icing works too.
For the M&M eyes, I drew pupils with a black edible marker, but you could also use melted dark chocolate. The Wilton candy eyes can be found at baking or cake decorating stores.
How to store
Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
