MARZIPAN CLUSTERS 🤩 I absolutely love the combi

MARZIPAN CLUSTERS 🤩 I absolutely love the combination of marzipan and chocolate. So I made this delicious clusters with just these two ingredients.

Marzipan is very popular this time of year in the Netherlands, you can buy it in many shapes. All because of our national holiday ‘Sinterklaas’ (saint Nicholas) on December 5th. It’s our version of Santa clause. The small cookies you see in the background are ‘pepernoten’, small spiced cookies. They are so good 👌🏻.

Want to make them? This is what you’ll need:
- 300 grams (milk) chocolate
- 200 grams marzipan, in small pieces

Melt the chocolate au bain-marie and add the marzipan. Stir well. Use a spoon to scoop the clusters on a sheet of baking paper and let the chocolate harden.

Enjoy!

My favorite recipe to bake at the moment: Dutch ontbijtkoek! My original recipe is for 1 big loaf, but I made mini loaves this time. This spiced loaf cake is perfect as a treat with your cup of tea or coffee. Normally I add ‘speculaaskruiden’ (which is Dutch), but this time I used pumpkin spice mix. Add some extra ginger and you have a perfect autumn recipe 🍁😋 . I will share my recipe very soon!

PUMPKIN BREAD! I finally made a bread in the shape of a pumpkin and here’s the how to! I used my recipe for whole wheat bread and added grated cheese and pieces of sun dried tomatoes, delicious!

When I make this recipe again, I will tie the strings a bit tighter for a better shape. And maybe without the added ingredients like cheese and tomato so the bread can rise better.

Next thing on my list: baking mini pumpkin breads 🎃🎃.

My favorite trick to make perfectly round cookies: take a cookie cutter that is slightly larger than your cookies and circle it around your cookies immediately after they come out of the oven. Because the cookies are still soft at this point, it is easy to shape them a little bit 👌🏻🍪
